Transit workers will be at the West 8th Street-NY Aquarium Station in Brooklyn today for inspections and repairs following a fire, which is causing service changes for weekend beach goers.
Officials are still trying to determine what sparked the flames in the station's signal room around 6:30 p.m. Friday.
The fire later spread onto the tracks above.
As a result, F trains are not running between the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue and Avenue X.
And there is no Q train service between Coney Island and the Brighton Beach Station.
Customers are being advised to take the B-68 bus as an alternate and free shuttle buses are being provided at some stops along the F and Q lines.
