Boy Escapes Attempted Abduction In Queens

Police in Queens are looking for a man who they say tried to abduct a young boy Wednesday.

Police say the suspect, seen above, grabbed the eight-year-old's wrist at the intersection of Broadway and 37 Street in Astoria around 8 a.m.

They say he pulled the boy along, before the youngster broke free.

The boy's mother heard his cries and approached the suspect, who then took off on foot.

The suspect is described as being between 30 and 40 years old with a height of 5-feet-10-inches to six-feet tall.

Investigators say he has a thin build and was last seen wearing a beige baseball hat and long gray overcoat.
