When the 3 new Staten Island Ferryboats hit the water in 2019, one of them will bear the name of a Staten Island hero.

Michael Ollis was serving in Afghanistan when his base was raided.

He died after he stepped in front of a polish soldier to shield him from an insurgents suicide vest.

Since his death in 2013, Ollis' story has been kept alive through his parents Robert and Linda.

They joined NY1's Anthony Pascale along with Dan Clark from the Staten Island Business Outreach Center to talk about an event they've helped set up to honor Ollis.
