2 Staten Island lawmakers are claiming victory, for now, after they sued the city over its controversial IDNYC program.

At the root of the issue, is whether the city has the right to destroy the personal information of applicants, which could include their immigration status.

A judge ruled Wednesday the city must keep all its records in tact until the case is resolved.

South Shore Assemblyman Ron Castorina argued the case in court and talked about the issue with NY1's Anthony Pascale.
