Rain will fall overnight as a cold front works across the northeast. There will be a rapid temperature drop with this front and that should cause rain to quickly change to snow between 2-4am. Snow will end by 7am but with falling temperatures roads and sidewalks could be icy.

As the day goes on, temperatures will drop through the 20s with wind chills dipping into the teens. By Friday evening it will feel like the single digits. Saturday will be cold and bright with temperatures barely reach 30 during the afternoon.

We're also watching another system that will arrive late Sunday. Right now it looks like light snow will develop late in the day and then change to rain Sunday night before ending.
