The trial of the former top aide to Governor Cuomo heats up as the prosecution's star witness takes the stand.

Lobbyist Todd Howe described how he connected Joe Percoco with the energy company Competitive Power Ventures, or CPV.

The company was seeking Percoco's help in obtaining a state contract that would allow for the construction of a Hudson Valley power plant.

In exchange for helping CPV, Percoco allegedly pushed for a job for his wife, who ended up with a $90,000 a year position that required little work.

Prosecutors also say CPV provided a private plane for Cuomo during the final days of the 2010 race for governor.

Cuomo is not accused of any wrongdoing.
