After meeting face-to-face with President Donald Trump, the city's only Republican Congressman is still unsure if he'll support his party’s plan to overhaul the Affordable Care Act.

Dan Donovan, who represents Staten Island and parts of Brooklyn, met with the president alongside a dozen other GOP lawmakers on Tuesday

A rep for Donovan says the Congressman has quote "deep and serious concerns, specifically regarding impacts to Medicaid and the elderly."

He says he already spoke to Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio about the controversial amendment that would shift Medicaid costs from upstate counties to the state.

In a statement, he says, “We need healthcare reform – including promised Medicaid reform in New York…but it shouldn't be done on the backs of already overburdened City residents who will undoubtedly have a tax increase forced on them to fill in the hole.”

The health care bill is scheduled to go up for a vote on Thursday.
