Staten Islanders have one 'shell' of a time learning about a rescued animal who lives in the borough.

Ahead of World Turtle Day next week, families came out to see and learn about the tortoise Harry Houdini in Huguenot Saturday.

He was rescued on Staten Island in 2011 at just 10 pounds. Now he's a whopping 140 pounds. The tortoise loves to eat dandelions and sweet potatoes.

He also serves as the mascot for the non-profit Project Hospitality, which his rescue mom happens to run.

Harry is expected to continue to grow for the next four years. World Turtle Day is celebrated this upcoming Wednesday.
