Some Staten Islanders are worried about falling trees in their neighborhood.

A massive tree fell in a wooded area on Barlow avenue in Eltingville on Wednesday and now residents say they fear other rotting trees on the lot could cause damage to their homes.

The tree initially landed on the sidewalk but has since been moved on to the lot.

Residents say they want Gotham Property Management, who oversees the maintenance of the lot, to remove any rotting trees, including the tree that fell this week.

"Most of the time they just argue with us and they don't return our calls. And they refuse to maintain the property as far as keeping it clean and removing all the trees that go down which are real dangerous," said Nicholas Sarnicola, an Eltingville resident.

In a phone conversation with NY1, a representative with Gotham Property Management said resident safety concerns have been addressed in the past and a tree company will assess the current situation on the property next week.
