Thursday’s strong winds will diminish late overnight as temperatures bottom out in the 40s around sunrise.

Another mostly sunny and dry day is in the forecast for Friday with afternoon highs in the 60s. It will be breezy at times, but nowhere near as gusty as Thursday.

Clouds will increase Friday night into Saturday as the next system pushes moisture our way. Central North Carolina may see a few showers by Saturday afternoon, but most of the rain across the region will be late Saturday into Saturday night. Decreasing clouds Sunday and highs in the mid 50s to around 60 will make for a nice finish to the weekend.
