A Bronx man has been arraigned on several charges, accused of brutally beating his 4-year-old daughter with a baseball bat.

Noel Morales, 32, faces assault, child endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon charges.

The Bronx DA says last month, he allegedly struck his daughter three times with the bat inside their Soundview apartment after arguing with her mother.

The girl suffered bruising to her liver, back and stomach, as well as a broken arm.

Longtime neighbor Luis Naranjo says he's still shocked by the story.

"It hits home hard," Naranjo said. "When you hear stuff happening in other neighborhoods, it doesn't bother you as much, but when it hits you, a building right next to you, I took it real, real, real hard. Especially for a 4-year-old young lady to go through that."

Morales is due back in court in May.
