AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police arrested 1 suspect and Williamson County Sheriff's Office arrested 2 suspects linked to multiple ATM thefts/robberies across the state on Wednesday morning.

In a press conference Wednesday afternoon, APD said it arrested the one suspect during a traffic stop at 183 at Mopac. Wilco deputies arrested the 2 other suspects earlier in the morning in Cedar Park.

One of the suspects is 17 years old and the other 2 are in their 20s. The individuals were arrested as part of a multi-agency operation.

They're facing felony charges and being held in Williamson County.

Local law enforcement is working with partnering agencies to determine which agency will be lead and what additional information will be released.

Last week, Houston Police Department arrested a suspect in multiple recent robberies of ATMs at Houston area hotels, and released surveillance video of additional suspects also wanted in these robberies.

Though Austin Police Department would not confirm that the suspects arrested are related to the Houston incidents, Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo tweeted:

"Proud of @houstonpolice team that just took down ATM robbery crew in Austin with help of @chief_manley team @Austin_Police & APD Air 1. We will pursue those that do our community harm wherever we need to with assistance of our Federal, State, County & municipal partners."
