HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. -- The suspect in last month's explosion at UNC is now out of jail.

Joshua Edwards went home with his family after appearing in an Orange County courtroom Monday.

Authorities believe he planted an explosive device beneath the Davie Poplar tree on campus in November. The device later went off and burned a professor.

The judge ordered Edwards' father to watch his son at all times and keep up with his mental health treatment.

Edwards is also banned from campus and cannot contact the injured professor.
