NEW YORK - For the first time in 13 years, Eli Manning will not be the Giant's starting quarterback.

Geno Smith will start when Big Blue takes on the Raiders in Oakland Sunday.

Coach Ben McAdoo announced the news Tuesday, saying both Smith and rookie Davis Webb will get time over the last five games of the season.

"Just thought it's best to give Geno the start and I'll back him up. I'll be a good teammate. I don't like it but it's apart of football, you handle it and do my job," Manning said.

"I have a lot of confidence in Eli as a player, as a quarterback. But at this point it's my repsonsibility for the organization that we take a look at Geno and at some point take a look at Davis," McAdoo said.

Manning is a two-time Super Bowl MVP.

He has started more than 200 consecutive regular-season games.

But he's struggled this season.

The Giants are 2 and 9 and have 19 players on the injury reserve list, including star wide receiver Odell Beckham Junior.
