Police are searching for a man they say is wanted for a string of sexual assaults on Staten Island.

They said the man seen above tried to force himself on three women, including a 14-year-old girl.

In each case, according to officials, the man approached his victim from behind or grabbed her before he tried to grope her.

It all happened around 5:42 a.m. to 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, mostly in the West Brighton area, police said. Three of the incidents happened at bus stops.

Police said he also slapped a 64-year-old woman in the face and ran off around 6:20 a.m., before he later tried to sexually assault a 42-year-old woman and the 14-year-old girl in the same area.

In the attack on the 14-year-old girl, the man fled in a dark-colored SUV, police said.

NY1 spoke with a man who said one of the victims lives in his building.

"She was very hurt, she was screaming," he said. "So, I just asked what was going on, who it was. I didn't get any information, but it seems she got roughed up pretty good."

The victims were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Police said the attacker is in his 20s, has short dreadlocks, and is between 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He was described as wearing a dark-colored track suit with a white logo on the front, and white stripes on his pants leg.
