A project to re-imagine the borough's North Shore moves another step forward.

Staten Island Arts unveiled a new exhibit as part of its ongoing "Future Culture" project.

The initiative aims to bring public art to under-utilized spaces along the North Shore waterfront.

The gallery features 2 projects chosen from dozens of submissions.

One is a series of interactive sculptures designed to make different sounds.

The other is an outdoor concert venue across from the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.

"The exhibit that we have here offers people a way to interact with public art in the process of it actually being created and that’s a process that not a lot of people know or understand," said Elizabeth Bennett, Executive Director, Staten Island Arts.

The exhibit is on display through December.
