Police say a man was shot in broad daylight in a St. George Playground and now they're looking for the person responsible.

Investigators say it happened around one sunday afternoon.

They say a 57-year-old man from Queens was walking to the ferry and decided to take a break at Mahoney Playground near Jersey Street and Crescent Avenue.

That's when, they say, he saw three people running and shooting.

Police say he was hit in his left shoulder as he was leaving the park.

He was taken to Richmond University Medical Center and is expected to survive. Police say they're looking for a suspect who was last seen running towards Cleveland Street. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1800 577 TIPS.
