A Staten Island staple is under new ownership and is ‘knocking it out of the park’ with a minor league deal.

Victory Sports in Castleton Corners will be working with the Staten Island Yankees to embroider the team’s jerseys.

Ellena Perone bought the shop over a month ago and landed a contract with the Yankees franchise. The shop will be embroidering patches on the team's 40 away jerseys and has already worked on the home uniforms.

Perone is no stranger to the baseball world. Her husband Gary works for the team's crosstown rival franchise, The Mets.

“He's very supportive,” she said. “He works for the Brooklyn Cyclones, but the baseball community is all one, so whoever needs something we'll do it.”

The store will be undergoing renovations in the next few months. The new owners say the improvements will bring a modern look to the location.
