A man has been indicted on burglary charges for allegedly acting as an accomplice to the so-called "ninja burglar" on Staten Island.

The Richmond County District Attorney's office says 47-year-old Geovani Melendez helped Robert Costanzo steal from a Todt Hill home back in 2013.

Prosecutors say the pair broke into the house and took more than $3,000 worth of property.

Melendez is currently serving a sentence in Connecticut for a separate crime.

Constanzo, 46, admitted to committing more than a hundred burglaries on Staten Island between 2005 and 2015.

He was sentenced to 22 years in prison back in May.
