EZ Pass customers are facing long wait-times as they prepare for cashless tolling on the Verrazano Bridge.

A long line greeted customers outside the E-Z Pass customer service center in Bloomfield.

Our camera spotted dozens of drivers Tuesday looking to pick-up new tags ahead of cashless tolling which goes into effect July 8th.

Some we spoke to were also waiting to re-submit paperwork for the resident discount program.

With wait-times up to several hours, we saw customers reading books, one even setup a lawn chair.

"They really need more help. It's hot out here you're in the sun getting sunburn. Just a little crazy,"  said one customer.

"No organization. They should have started this a month before and did it in sections not everyone all at once. I came here yesterday you couldn't even park your car," said another.

"People can't stand for 2, 3 hours. Old People. I mean you know they don't care about the people," said another.

MTA officials acknowledged the long lines and say they are increasing staffing at the center to alleviate wait times.

Officials also say customers who have not received a letter to re-certify their residency do not need to visit the service center.
