A Brooklyn-based designer is spreading her love for the borough with a new line of merchandise.
She calls herself a roller derby diva. Now, designer Lola Star is bringing her retro-style to a new pop-up shop at the Urby apartment complex in Stapleton.
The temporary store is lined with all things Staten Island, including shirts, magnets, hats and other accessories.
Star tells us she created the line to bring more positive attention to the borough.
"It's a really wonderful community and there's so many really cool things to do here so I'm here to kind of celebrate that and make that more known that Staten Island is a really incredible place to visit," she said.
Star will open a permanent store in Urby once the space is ready to move in. She expects to be open for business by late-summer.
