Officer Pricked by Hypodermic Needle During Search of Suspect

An officer was pricked with a hypodermic needle while searching a suspect Tuesday.

Police tell NY1 that it happened at the 120th Precinct stationhouse in St. George and the suspect was asked on three separate occasions if she had any sharp objects on her before the search began. The assigned officer suffered a puncture wound to the right hand by the uncapped hypodermic syringe. Police say it was hidden in the suspect's bra.

Police say they also recovered thirty five glassine envelopes of alleged heroin. The suspect, Anna Polyak is facing multiple charges.
