A Staten Island man is facing charges for allegedly kicking a pregnant woman in the stomach during a fight on the subway.
Police say it happened Thursday just after 8 a.m. on a crowded 4 train.
Police say 40-year-old Michael Lee got on board the Bronx-bound train at the Bowling Green stop and bumped into 28-year-old Natasha Rodney.
Investigators say Rodney, who is nearly nine months pregnant, pushed back, knocking him to the ground.
According to police, he retaliated by kicking her twice in the stomach.
Both Rodney and her unborn baby were given a clean bill of health at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
Lee is facing assault and reckless endangerment charges. He was released on bail.
His next court day is April 26.
