Whether it's the head-bopping music or the hope of learning something new. Whatever the attraction, Pinot's Palette seems to be getting it right.

Christina Alba chose the Staten Island studio to celebrate her birthday.

"It feels great, it's fun it's a nice day out with the girls and we get our little wine and a little quiet fun, it's very therapeutic," said Alba.

Indeed, classes like these have become quite popular, allowing customers not only to learn how to paint from a professional artist, but also socialize over a glass of wine or beer.  The trend, known as sip and paint, is so popular the owners of Pinot's Palette, are now opening their second location on Staten Island at 1367 Forest Avenue in Westerleigh to serve the North Shore.

"I think it's popular because it's something different to do people don't have this everywhere Staten Island didn't have anything like this when we opened up and there's more and more popping up," said owner Fred Fadell. "And just seems to be a fun thing for people to do and relax and have fun."

But, fun may be only part of the appeal. Artist Stacey Raya says she's seen more than one love connection.

"I did see a couple get engaged here or even a female asked somebody to the prom so you get some good interactions," said Raya.

"It's a good time I mean to spend here with my girlfriend we can bond a little bit

compare pictures it's fun, fun little activity for a couple," said customer Ray Casiano.

"It makes me happy, it's a good sign of what's to come," said Ray's girlfriend, Christine Nassour.

But, sip and paint isn't just for adults. The studio also offers private parties for kids too.  Instead of wine, soda or juice.  Parent Glenda Colon says it's all about making memories.

"Oh my gosh, she had her first reconciliation this morning and now she's celebrating with her friends, so I think it's very memorable," said Colon.

A memorable experience, you can take home with you. If you'd like to celebrate their grand opening it's happening Friday February 17 from 7 to 10 p.m.
