After nearly 8 years of inactivity The Randall Manor Residents Association is making a comeback.

Dating back to 1928 the civic association has addressed the issues facing the Randall Manor community.

Since reconvening, two meetings were held to form committees, hold elections and collect dues.

The association currently represents about 425 homes, but is looking to expand to some additional streets.

Officials with association tell us they are looking forward to their next meeting on February 7th.

"If you do not have a viable organization where the members can speak out with their concerns, and direct them all to a board and offices, things don't get done," said Association President John Russell.

"The wants that the citizens of that neighborhood have, there is no way of really expressing it in a really collective way unless you have a good civic association," said Treasurer Carmen Cognetta.

Some of the issues the association hopes to tackle are the speeding problem on Henderson Avenue, the use of the Snug Harbor's Sailor's Cemetery and the up-keep of Allison Park pond.
