Some Staten Island teachers are learning how to bring "balance" to their classrooms.

5 Boro Power Yoga hosted a special workshop Monday for educators looking to incorporate yoga into their curriculum. Teachers learned the ins and outs of yoga and how to apply its principles to a kid-friendly learning environment.

Trained instructors spent 2 hours offering up tips and tricks to engage the next generation of yogis.

“[Kids benefit] just as an adult would benefit from having some tools like coping skills, breathing, sitting for mindfulness or meditation, and moving physically in yoga,” said Amanda Cunningham of 5 Boro Power Yoga.

This was the studio's first-ever teachers' workshop. Organizers say they hope to expand the program in the near future.
