New Dorp High School students need your help on a mission to bring comfort to those who serve our country.
The school's Future Teachers Academy is creating care packages for service men and women who will be overseas this holiday season.
The class is working with Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis to collect supplies like long-distance phone cards, bedding and canned food.
"They work so hard in fighting for our country and doing things for our country to make us better and sometimes they can't get home for holidays so to make them feel they're important and theyre needed," said student Tyler Marsillo.
Students are accepting donations through December 16.
You can drop-off supplies at the school on Mondays and Tuesdays between 2:20 and 3:45 p.m.
Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis is also accepting items at her district office.
