The MTA's latest fare hike proposals will be up for debate during a public hearing in our borough.
The agency will lay out its two fare hike proposals Tuesday.
The first is to keep the base fare at $2.75, but slash the 11 percent bonus you get when you add $5.50 on your MetroCard down to 5%.
The second proposal raises the base fare to $3.00 but offers a 16 percent bonus for putting $6 on your card.
The hearing gets underway at the College of Staten Island at 6 p.m.
A final vote on the proposals is slated for next month, with the new fare hike expected to take effect on March 19.
