One company on Staten Island is no stranger to the season of giving.

The Stop and Stor Charitable Fund distributed more than $30,000 to local non-profits on Thursday morning.

This is the first year the company has invited recipients to their headquarters for a meet-and-greet. Officials with the company say that, as their business grows, so do their donations.

“As a successful self-storage company, we have been in business for 28 years, it is our way of giving back,” said Stop and Stor Executive VP Denise Henick. “[We’re] giving back to people, to such worthwhile organizations that have such a meaningful impact on people's lives.”

“With their support we are able to do so much more than we could on our own,” said Gina Schlagel of the St. George Theatre, one of the recipents.

Over the last 15 years Stop and Stor has donated a total of more than $2 million to community organizations.
