Local entrepreneurs now have a home on the South Shore for kickstarting their business.

The Staten Island Economic Development Corporation opened its first business incubator Friday.

Located in the Annadale Business Center, it offers locals office space and much more.

"We're also providing them with services, including mentoring, pro bono services with accountants and lawyers through the SIEDC and really trying to get them to that next level," said SIEDC First Vice President Steve Grillo.

"You need to be around is other like-minded individuals, entrepreneurs, people who are going to give you ideas, whether it's marketing, or networking, or ways that you can grow your business that you might not be able to look at by yourself," said Frank Rizzo of Cornerstone Realty.

Empire State Development awarded the SIEDC a grant to fund the project. For more information, visit annadalebc.com.
