Democratic congressional candidate Richard Reichard promises to push campaign finance reform.

Reichard held a press conference outside the Richmond County Board of Elections Office in Clifton Wednesday. He believes campaign finance reform is a pressing issue, saying there's too much money in elections and campaigning.

"Members of Congress currently spend three to five hours a day soliciting money while they're in Washington, not doing the people's work. Therefore I support legislation that will bar members of Congress from soliciting funds while Congress is in session," said Reichard.

Reichard faces Republican Congressman Dan Donovan this November.
