The developer of the Empire Outlets has announced the latest store that will open inside the retail complex.
BFC Partners says Nike has leased 17,000 square feet at the outlet center.
Principal Joseph Ferrara says the store will help attract visitors from all over the world.
"It's a pretty major announcement because Nike's a coveted retail brand from all around the planet. The impact that Nike will have at Empire Outlets will be resounding for all of Staten Island, especially for my project because people come from all around the world just to visit Nike factories," he said.
Ferrara says 60 percent of the outlet center is already leased.
The Empire Outlets are set to open in November of next year.
