Love is in the air, and for local shops like A.F. Bennett Salon & Wellness Spa that means business is booming too.

"Our sales will generally peak about 30% higher than a normal week, during this week," said Frank Bennett, who is an owner at A.F. Bennett Salon & Wellness Spa.

Some get pampered from head to toe before spending quality time with their valentine.

"I'm going to the Marc Anthony concert tonight with my husband so I'm getting my hair and my make up done!" said Alice Montalvo-Acre.

Others sneak in some relaxation with their sweetheart downstairs at the spa.

"We have everything from a radiance package to our, decadence for two, to our couples massage, to our love package. Each one has different things, most of them come with champagne and strawberries. But you know something, more importantly it's time well spent together," said Bennett.

If a spa day or a massage just isn't your thing, Caroll's Florist on Richmond Road has plenty of flower arrangements and even some chocolate you can give to that special someone.

"Two dozen roses, which is beautiful, it's classic it's what people are looking for this time of year. We also have a beautiful mason jar its like half dozen roses and a mix of other flowers in there like hydrangea," said Kristin Daggan, who is a sales associate.

Down the road at Casale Jewelers, they say heart shaped necklaces are going fast.  You can also buy one of these chocolate bars while you're here and help children with cancer.

"We created these Willy Wonka chocolate bars that are numbered one through 100, and we're selling them at 10 dollars a piece, at the end of Valentine's Day a winner will actually win a beautiful diamond pendant," said owner Cory Schifter.

There's still time to grab a last minute gift.  All three shops plan to open their doors on Valentine's Day.
