Families struggling to put food on the table get the 5-star treatment this Thanksgiving. Our Lady Help of Christians Church hosted a free holiday feast Thursday at the Port Richmond C.Y.O. Center. And it wasn't just any ordinary meal - visitors were treated to top-notch service and home-cooked food. Organizers say they wanted to add their own special touch to the event.

"We're hoping to offer them a restaurant-like experience because we know a lot of these people do not have the means to have a Thanksgiving meal - we all know it's very expensive," said Colleen Meehen who is with the Church of Our Lady Help of Christians.

"You don't have to cook and you get food for the next day - can't beat it," said one participant.

"Every year it's nice to spend with friends, church or you know being around people," said another participant.

Organizers say they expect more than 300 people to stop by the feast this year.
