A man accused of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl on Staten Island is being held without bail.
Daniel Nieto, 32, was arraigned on two counts of first-degree rape. He pleaded not guilty.
Prosecutors say he assaulted the victim after breaking into a home in Port Richmond on August 6.
They say the child's family caught Nieto trying to escape and held him until police arrived.
Nieto is due back in court September 28.
