The Staten Island Mall is getting a multi-million-dollar expansion.
Mall officials tell NY1 exclusively that the property will be redeveloped.
They say new restaurants, stores, a fairway market, event space and movie theater will be built.
Officials also say the project will create 1,500 new jobs and $300 million in economic activity.
They say construction is expected to begin later this spring and will be complete by 2017.
