NY1 VIDEO: Hundreds of Staten Islanders are helping one New Dorp couple turn their dream of becoming parents into a reality. After six miscarriages and spending their life savings on failed fertilization treatments, Jaclyn and Michael Clarke decided they'd adopt a child. However, they were crushed to learn it could cost them up to $40,000. The two decided to set up an online fundraising page last week for adoption expenses.
