Mild and showery to start the week; Bright and cold to end it.  New Yorkers saw a great deal of clouds and some wet weather on Sunday, and more of that is in store for Monday.  However, southwest winds are expected to push temperatures well into the 60s on Monday.  And, if the sun manages to peek out, some locations may even flirt with 70.

Enjoy the mild conditions while you can though, because some colder air will settle in on Tuesday and stay in place for the remainder of the week.  Afternoon highs will only be in the 50s Tuesday through Friday, and we'll struggle to get out of the 40s during the weekend.
