Saratoga Springs is renowned for its healing waters, and it is celebrating that fact with wellness weekends. Time Warner Cable News’ Valarie D’Elia filed this preview.

The historic mineral waters in Saratoga Springs are popular for their health benefits and a new spa downtown is tapping into that vibe with a series of wellness weekends - just in time to celebrate the 100th year of the upstate New York town.

Complexions Spa is teaming up with the Saratoga Arms B & B for a value-packed getaway for two nights in both February and March.

Saratoga Arms, as I experienced as a guest, is a historic inn, dating back to 1870. Located right in the thick of downtown, it is an homage to the horseracing culture that Saratoga is also famous for.

Thoughtfully renovated - keeping the original touches intact - the family-owned boutique hotel is crackling with warming fireplaces, and 31 individually decorated rooms.

Far from a deprivation vacation, the weekends start with a locally sourced wine and cheese reception.

A full breakfast is served each morning at the inn.

The spa day includes a boxed lunch during a break from services, which are crafted from a variety of different packages; massages, facials, mineral baths, and blow-dries.

All services include run of the spa.

After the spa day, you can hit the town, with a $40 certificate to any of the DZ Restaurants - all within walking distance to Saratoga Arms.

The Saratoga Arms spa getaways start at $450 per person, depending on the room category and is based on double occupancy.
