Icicles Spotted Hanging From Ceiling Of Newly Opened Hudson Yards 7 Station

The new 7 train station at 34th Street Hudson Yards sprang a leak this week in the form of icicles.

The riders' advocacy group '7 Train Blues' on Tuesday tweeted these photos of icicles hovering over one of the long escalators in the station.

An MTA spokesman says any issues that arise at the station are handled by its contractor.

When NY1 visited the station on Wednesday morning, the icicles were no more, but water marks were visible, with an occasional drop coming down onto the escalator and the occasional commuter.

The station opened in September.
