SPECTRUM NEWS VIDEO: Unbeaten Lancaster Legends (11-0) relied on their stingy defense to defeat Section V champion Aquinas, 9-0, in Saturday's Class AA Regional.
Led by first-year coach Derek Annechino, Aquinas (9-2) entered the matchup riding a 9-game winning streak, but could not produce points against Lancaster's opportunistic defense.
The Legends are now just one win away from advancing to play for the state championship.
