NEW YORK - A warning for anyone taking part in SantaCon this weekend.

MTA police will enforce an alcohol ban on the LIRR and Metro-North.

SantaCon is the annual bar crawl where thousands of people take part decked out in festive clothing, usually dressed as Santa.

The event does raise money for charity, but it has been a bit naughty than nice at times.

Rowdy revelers have been criticized over the years for disorderly conduct.

The MTA says to maintain safe and orderly travel during SantaCon, alcohol will not be permitted on LIRR and Metro-North trains and stations from noon Saturday to noon on Sunday.

MTA police will confiscate alcohol and issue summonses to violators.
