Emotions ran high Friday at the Queens murder trial of the man accused of killing Karina Vetrano as the suspect's taped confession was played in the courtroom.

Vetrano's mother was seen visibly shaken during the testimony.

In the confession, 22-year-old Chanel Lewis went into the detail about his encounter with Vetrano.

At one point, he described the moment when he "finished her off."

Lewis said the fight with Vetrano lasted about five minutes.

He told officers he was angry at the time and took it out on Vetrano, who he says did not provoke him.

Vetrano was found dead after going for a run at a park in Howard Beach in the August of 2016. Prosecutors say Lewis attacked her.

Despite the confession, Lewis pleaded not guilty to the murder. His defense attorneys say Lewis' confession was coerced and claim investigators have mishandled the case.
