A college basketball coach is charged with assault after police say he punched a Florida tourist who fell and hit his head in Queens.

His death has been ruled a homicide.

Jamill Jones turned himself into police, and pleaded not guilty to the charge.

He works as an assistant coach at Wake Forest University in North Carolina.

Jones is accused of punching Sabor Szabo after Szabo knocked on the window of Jones' car last Sunday in Long Island City.

Szabo apparently mistook the car for an Uber that he had called.

Jones sent his condolences to the family of the tourist via a statement from his lawyer.

Jones' attorney also said, "The prosecutor has reviewed the facts in the case and have charged misdemeanor assault and we look forward to continuing in the legal process and we look forward to just results."
