80 Students from across the city hit the water at Brooklyn Bridge Park on Tuesday to test the sailboats they built.

Participants designed and built the boats as part of the Brooklyn Boatworks program.

The non-profit partnered with several schools this year from Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan.

Organizers said it offers students a new approach to learning about the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math fields - also known as STEM.

Brooklyn Boatworks also takes groups of students out to sail on the water during the summer.
