A popular Queens restaurant that has been in business for decades is calling it quits.

After 73 years in business, the owner of Ben's Best Kosher Deli in Rego Park, announced Friday he will close at the end of the month. Owner Jay Parker says it was a tough decision because of all his loyal customers. Parker says he decided to close because the bike lanes the city recently added in front of his business on Queens Boulevard have killed his business. He says the bike lanes have eliminated about 200 parking spaces. The loss of parking spaces made it difficult for even his loyal customers to keep coming back to their favorite deli. We did reach out to the city for comment, we have not heard back yet. Parker says he is planning something special for his customers on his last day in business on June 30th.
