Queens residents can buy clothes, jewelry, and more all while helping a local hospital.

The Kew Gardens Flea Market re-opened Saturday in the parking lot of the Kew Gardens Long Island Railroad station.

For more than 30 years the market has been donating the money received for vendors fees to Jamaica Hospital's pediatric department.

That money is used to purchase non-medical items, including a television for the playroom in the pediatric department as well as toys for the patients.

"It's a great thing that we do for the community to be able to sell, the vendors sell there items, and giving back to the hospital for the children; it's a win-win for both," saidLisa Altimari, an organizer of the Kew Gardens Flea Market.

The flea market is only open four times a year. The next time you can check it out is on May 19th.
