Police are searching for two people they said impersonated NYPD officers when they shot a man and stole his car in Queens on Friday.

Officials said it happened around 11:25 p.m. on 202nd St. near 104th Ave. in Hollis.

According to the city police department, two men exited a dark Ford Crown Victoria, flashing police lights and wearing NYPD turtlenecks.

They then approached a 30-year-old man in a 2010 Nissan and demanded that he hand over his car keys and a gun.

When the driver said he did not have a gun, the fake officers tried to yank him from the car and take his keys, police said.

Police said the victim resisted, and one of the impersonating officers shot the 30-year-old in the leg before the fake officers drove away in his Nissan.

The driver was brought to Jamaica Hospital and is in stable condition.

No arrests have been made, and the car has not been found. The investigation is ongoing.
