The Easter Bunny hopped through Brooklyn.

Thousands headed to Fort Greene Park for the 2nd annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday.

Kids got their faces painted, took photos with the Easter Bunny and of course searched for Easter eggs. The event was hosted by the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership, along with several local officials. Organizers say this event is all about bringing people together.

"Spring is finally here. You see so many of these individuals that have hibernated over the pass couple of months, individuals who are coming out with their family and children celebrating diversity," said Public Advocate Letitia James.

Representatives with local organizations were also on hand providing information about family-friendly programs and resources in the community.
