NEW YORK - A federal judge in New York has denied Saudi Arabia's motion to dismiss a lawsuit that accuses the country of helping plan the September 11th attacks.

Hundreds of victims' families and survivors filed the suit last March in Manhattan Federal Court.

The judge says their claims meet requirements for the court to assume jurisdiction under the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act.

The lawsuit claims Saudi officials provided some of the September 11th hijackers with funding and resources.

Fifteen of the 19 hijackers were Saudi nationals.

The Saudi government has denied involvement in the attacks.
